The Nation is Lahore-based English-language newspaper in Pakistan. It is published by Majid Nizami and currently edited by Saleem Bukhari. The Nation is owned by a media group with it's roots dating to 1940 when Nawa-i-Waqt was formed. The Nation was launched in 1986 and is internationally the most quoted Pakistani newspaper. The Nation rivals two Lahore-based dailies, Dawn and The News International.
